North Korea focusing on development of Pyeongyang

North Korean authorities are focusing city developments in Pyeongyang and its border cities, such as Hyesan, Gangye, and Manpo. North Korea is also putting up streetlight and neon signs in Onseong province and Naseon economic zone. The reason for the development efforts are because Kim Jong-un wants to propagandize that North Korea has improved. It is all part of a plan to attract Chinese investors and tourists into the border regions, and to prevent defectors. Most of North Korea with the exception of the cities mentioned above are still underdeveloped. And its people are still in dire circumstances starving to death.
